California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing clinical documentation reviews, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager will perform quality assurance of medical records, drive improvements in clinical documentation processes, and manage staff training and regulatory compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance reviews of medical records and oversee scheduling and coverage of documentation reviews
• Lead data and root cause analyses to identify trends and improvement opportunities in clinical documentation processes
• Oversee staff training and establish partnerships between the CDI team and medical leadership to promote education initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, Health Information Management, or related field
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or integrity
• Minimum one (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in nursing, medicine, CDI, inpatient coding, quality review, or case management
