California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing clinical documentation reviews, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager will perform quality assurance of medical records, drive improvements in clinical documentation integrity (CDI) processes, and ensure regulatory compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage clinical documentation reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Lead data and root cause analyses to identify and implement improvements in CDI processes
• Oversee staff training and education initiatives, fostering collaboration between the CDI team and medical leadership

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, Health Information Management, or related field
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or integrity
• Experience managing operational or project budgets for at least one (1) year
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in nursing, medicine, CDI, inpatient coding, quality review, case management, or a directly related field
