Job Summary
Overseeing clinical documentation reviews and driving improvements in the Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) program, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager will manage quality assurance of medical records, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead staff training initiatives in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage quality assurance reviews of medical/health records to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation
- Drive improvements in the CDI program through data analysis and root cause identification for documentation processes
- Oversee staff training and establish partnerships with medical leadership to promote clinical documentation education
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, Health Information Management, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or integrity
- Minimum one (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in nursing, medicine, CDI, inpatient coding, quality review, or case management
