Job Summary
Overseeing clinical documentation reviews, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager will perform quality assurance of medical records, drive improvements in clinical documentation integrity processes, and manage staff training and regulatory compliance in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation
- Lead data and root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities in clinical documentation processes
- Oversee training initiatives and establish partnerships between the CDI team and medical leadership to promote education in clinical documentation
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, Health Information Management, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role, with or without direct reports
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or integrity
- Minimum one (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets
- Eight (8) years of experience in nursing, medicine, CDI, inpatient coding, quality review, case management, or a directly related field, or eleven (11) years of equivalent experience
