Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts concurrent and subsequent reviews of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for coding purposes
  • Communicates with medical staff to clarify documentation and follows up on queries to obtain necessary information
  • Educates physicians on documentation best practices and analyzes CDI program performance through report interpretation


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Current RN License preferred
  • Basic MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with EPIC, 3M 360, and 3M eMD preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills and up-to-date clinical knowledge
