Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation integrity, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will interpret clinical documentation, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Interpreting clinical documentation to improve accuracy and compliance with coding standards
  • Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to address documentation issues and enhance patient care
  • Conducting reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in clinical documentation
Required qualifications
  • Five or more years of clinical experience as an RN or Physician and three years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)
  • CDI Credential (CCDS or CDIP) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Medical School Graduate
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation laws, coding guidelines, and utilization review criteria
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and maintain effective working relationships
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to communicate effectively on clinical issues
