Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Genomics Scientist will interpret diagnostic test results, review relevant medical literature, and apply variant classification guidelines while ensuring quality and turnaround time in report generation.

Key responsibilities

• Attend trainings for reporting protocols specific to the position
• Independently draft clear and accurate clinical testing result reports
• Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results in accordance with established SOPs

Required qualifications

• MS in Genetic Counseling or related field from an accredited institution
• Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
• Ability to understand and evaluate genetic data and literature
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing methodologies, including next-generation sequencing
• New genetic counseling MS graduates are qualified
