Job Summary
Working remotely within California, the full-time California Licensed Coder will accurately translate patients' medical records into standardized codes for diagnoses and treatments while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Applies coding principles consistent with government regulatory standards and payer-specific guidelines
- Codes Primary Care, Radiology, and Hospitalist professional charges for assigned providers
- Provides education to physicians and staff on coding and documentation as needed
Required qualifications
- One (1) year or less of professional fee coding experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPC, CPC-A, or CCS-P Certification
