Job Summary
Ensuring accurate coding and compliance, the California Licensed Coder I will work remotely to translate patients' medical records into standardized codes for diagnoses and treatments while communicating effectively with insurance companies and healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
- Applies coding principles consistent with regulatory standards and organizational policies
- Codes professional charges for Primary Care, Radiology, and Hospitalist providers
- Educates providers on coding and documentation practices as needed
Required qualifications
- One (1) year or less of professional fee coding experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPC, CPC-A, or CCS-P Certification
