Job Summary
Providing oversight for coding policy and procedures, the full-time California Licensed Coding Audit Supervisor will manage coding audits and serve as a liaison for data management and reporting requirements, with the opportunity to work remotely from approved states.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee management of coding policies and procedures throughout the medical center
- Act as a liaison for Enterprise Information Systems related to data collection and reporting
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and methodologies for outpatient and inpatient care
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate of Science in Health Information Science preferred
- Certification as a Certified Coder Specialist (CCS), Certified Procedural Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required
- At least 2 years of experience in outpatient/ambulatory care coding or inpatient acute care coding required
- Familiarity with Revenue Cycle/Revenue Management Improvement methodologies preferred
