Job Summary
To ensure compliance with documentation and coding standards, the remote California Licensed Coding Auditor will perform audits, provide education to providers, and summarize findings while maintaining expert knowledge of coding guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct physician compliance audits and analyze medical record documentation for adherence to policies
- Identify risks and non-compliance issues, providing actionable recommendations for improvement
- Educate and train providers on audit findings and regulatory requirements through remote sessions
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certified Professional Coder certification required upon hire
- Minimum of 2 years of professional fee coding/auditing experience, preferably in an academic medical setting
