Job Summary
Overseeing all functions within the Health Information Management's coding team, the full-time California Licensed Coding Supervisor will provide technical leadership, monitor departmental efficiencies, and ensure compliance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of coding staff, ensuring accurate and timely workload assignment and performance monitoring
- Maintain compliance with CMS regulations and coding guidelines, while tracking department statistics for planning and budgeting
- Conduct performance reviews, delegate tasks, and support employee development to build a cohesive and skilled team
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (preferred)
- Five years of medical coding experience (required)
- AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist Credential (CCS) (required)
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) (required)
