California Licensed Collections Representative

Job Summary

Working onsite in Emeryville with occasional remote opportunities, the full-time California Licensed Collections Representative will manage the collections and resolution of inpatient and outpatient accounts, conducting proactive follow-ups with payors regarding nonpayment and underpayments while utilizing multiple databases and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct proactive follow-ups with payors on nonpayment and underpayments
• Reconcile accounts to closure and manage inpatient and outpatient billing processes
• Utilize various databases and applications to analyze account information and take appropriate actions

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two or more years of experience in a hospital billing office environment
• Strong understanding of hospital billing and collections, including relevant coding (CPT, ICD, DRG, HCPC)
• Proactive account resolution skills with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work onsite with potential for occasional remote work
