California Licensed Collections Representative

Job Summary

To support accurate billing and collections for a leading medical institution, the full-time California Licensed Collections Representative will process claims, manage accounts throughout the billing lifecycle, and ensure compliance with regulations in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Process and submit inpatient, outpatient, and laboratory claims while verifying account information and compliance with billing requirements
• Manage accounts by resolving claim edits, denials, and discrepancies while maintaining accurate documentation
• Monitor reimbursement activities and ensure compliance with payer regulations and organizational policies

Required qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in Medicare billing and collections for inpatient and outpatient healthcare services
• Knowledge of hospital billing practices and healthcare revenue cycle operations
• Experience with electronic claims processing and patient accounting systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with HIPAA regulations
