Job Summary

Guiding students through the college admissions process, the remote contract College Admissions Counselor will develop personalized academic and extracurricular plans, provide strategic application guidance, and review essays for students in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key responsibilities

• Keep up to date with current college admission changes and advise students accordingly
• Support students in creating college lists, preparing application materials, and strategizing admission plans
• Assist students with summer plans, extracurricular activities, and standardized testing strategies

Required qualifications

• Graduate from a top 50 national university; advanced degrees are a plus
• Experience as a college counselor with a track record of successful student admissions to top 50 universities
• Consistent availability in the afternoons and/or weekends for student meetings
• Passion for education, with strong skills in teaching, essay writing, and editing
• Dedication to client service and ability to commit to multi-year student packages
