California Licensed Commercial Appraiser

Job Summary

To minimize risk in real estate secured loans, the fully remote California Licensed Commercial Appraiser will manage the valuation request process, review appraisal reports for compliance, and provide guidance to lending and credit risk staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full process of valuation requests from procurement to completion of review reports
• Develop scope of work for soliciting appraisal bids and provide recommendations to the lending team
• Review appraisal reports for accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordinate resolutions for any deficiencies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience appraising and/or reviewing commercial property appraisals for a financial institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the real estate, banking, or financial industry
• Certified Real Estate Appraiser designation
• Strong understanding of USPAP and federal appraisal regulatory requirements
