Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time California Licensed Commercial Counsel will manage commercial contract review and negotiation, lead legal collections, and assist with corporate governance and compliance matters in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and vendor contracts while managing the contracting workflow through LinkSquares
- Oversee the legal collections process for unpaid premium accounts, including drafting demand letters and coordinating with outside counsel
- Assist with corporate governance and compliance initiatives, maintaining corporate records and supporting regulatory compliance efforts
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant legal experience in-house or at a law firm advising companies on commercial matters
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with active bar licensure in at least one U.S. state; California licensure preferred
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, with familiarity in contract lifecycle management tools
- 1 year of experience with collections, accounts receivable, or creditor rights matters
- Demonstrated litigation experience, including familiarity with court filings and managing outside litigation counsel
