California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
To ensure compliance with national coding policies, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records for accurate ICD-10-CM coding, resolve complex documentation issues, and assist in compliance investigations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to medical records while ensuring compliance with official guidelines
- Conduct compliance investigations and develop reports summarizing compliance data and potential risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement compliance initiatives and monitor adherence to regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field with at least six (6) years of relevant experience
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
