California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for medical records, serve as a compliance subject matter expert, and assist with auditing and compliance activities across various healthcare settings.
Key responsibilities:
- Review inpatient, outpatient, and professional medical records to ensure accurate coding in accordance with guidelines and regulations
- Develop compliance reports and conduct investigations, providing insights and recommendations to management on compliance activities
- Coordinate compliance efforts by identifying requirements, assessing current compliance states, and creating or revising policies and procedures
Required qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with six (6) years of relevant experience
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
