California Licensed Compliance Consultant

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with national coding policies and oversee coding operations, the full-time remote California Licensed Compliance Consultant will apply advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and risk adjustment methodologies while supervising coding activities and conducting audits across various lines of business.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor coding operations, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and coding requirements
• Analyze operational data to identify performance trends and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Develop and present audit result reports to regional staff and senior management, highlighting key compliance findings

Required qualifications:

• Minimum six (6) years of medical coding experience
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field
• Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent coding certification from recognized organizations
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in health care compliance or related fields
