California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for medical records, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and validate medical records for accurate coding and compliance
- Develop compliance reports and conduct investigations to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and monitor compliance standards and policies
Required qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of experience in health care compliance or related areas
- Certification as a Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder
