California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, validate documentation, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while serving as a subject matter expert in coding functions.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducts compliance activities by collaborating with stakeholders and applying established regulations to compliance efforts
- Develops compliance reports by evaluating and summarizing compliance data, audit information, and potential risks
- Assists in managing projects related to compliance by coordinating resources and developing project plans
Required qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in health care compliance or related areas
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
