California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records for accurate coding, serve as a subject matter expert, and assist in compliance investigations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Independently reviews and assigns ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to medical records while ensuring compliance with regulations
- Collaborates with stakeholders to develop compliance reports and conduct compliance investigations
- Assists in managing compliance components of larger projects and coordinates implementation of compliance efforts
Required qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in health care compliance, operations, audit, or related fields
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder
- Experience with coding audit processes is preferred
