California Licensed Compliance Consultant

Job Summary

To support compliance initiatives in a remote capacity, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will apply advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and risk adjustment methodologies to supervise coding operations, ensure documentation compliance, and lead audits of coding assignments across various healthcare settings.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee coding operations and ensure compliance with national coding policies and documentation standards
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Develop and present audit result reports to regional staff and senior management, driving compliance initiatives

Required qualifications:

• Minimum six (6) years of medical coding experience
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field, with eight (8) years of relevant experience
• Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent certification from recognized organizations
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and coding applications
