California Licensed Compliance Consultant

Job Summary

To support compliance efforts in medical coding, the full-time remote California Licensed Compliance Consultant will apply advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and risk adjustment methodologies to supervise coding operations, ensure documentation accuracy, and lead compliance initiatives across various healthcare settings.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee coding operations, ensuring compliance with national coding policies and standards
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions
• Develop and present audit result reports to management and regional staff

Required qualifications:

• Minimum six (6) years of medical coding experience
• Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field with at least eight (8) years of relevant experience
• Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent coding certification
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and coding applications
