California Licensed Compliance Consultant

Job Summary

Experienced in medical coding, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will supervise coding operations, ensure compliance with coding standards, and analyze operational data to identify trends and implement corrective actions in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor coding operations to ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM coding and risk adjustment methodologies
• Review complex coding scenarios and approve or escalate coding determinations for internal and external audits
• Analyze operational data to identify performance trends and implement corrective actions as needed

Required qualifications:

• Minimum six (6) years of medical coding experience
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field with eight (8) years of relevant experience
• Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent coding certification
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and coding applications
