California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, validate documentation, and serve as a compliance subject matter expert while ensuring adherence to national coding policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts compliance investigations and audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
- Develops compliance reports by evaluating compliance data and summarizing audit information for management
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and assists in the implementation of necessary changes
Required qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with six (6) years of relevant experience
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder
