California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, serve as a compliance subject matter expert, and assist with auditing and compliance initiatives across various healthcare settings.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review and validate medical records for accurate coding and compliance with guidelines
- Develop and summarize compliance reports, identifying key drivers and potential risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute strategic compliance initiatives and investigations
Required qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, plus six (6) years of experience in healthcare compliance or a related area
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
