California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, ensure compliance with coding regulations, and serve as a subject matter expert in coding functions across various care settings.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and validate medical records for accurate coding and compliance with guidelines
- Develop compliance reports and conduct investigations to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate compliance efforts and assist in the development of policies, procedures, and training materials
Required qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field, plus six (6) years of relevant experience
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
