Job Summary

A company is looking for a Composites Manufacturing Engineer to lead composite fabrication efforts for advanced autonomous aircraft production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with design engineers to enhance composite aircraft structures and drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) improvements
  • Design and qualify composite tooling and implement manufacturing processes for various composite materials
  • Conduct material qualifications and lead non-destructive inspection (NDI) activities to ensure the integrity of composite components
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in composites manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or defense
  • Expertise in composite fabrication processes and experience in designing and building composite tooling
  • Proficiency with composites-related software and CAD tools for ply book generation
  • Familiarity with NDI methods and composite repair procedures per industry standards
