Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time California Licensed Contracts Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, primarily focusing on Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex CTAs, master service agreements, and vendor agreements
- Ensure compliance of clinical trial contracts with applicable federal, state, and international laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain standard agreement templates and negotiation playbooks
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active member of a State Bar Association, preferably California
- 5+ years of experience at a large law firm or in the legal department of a Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical company
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations governing clinical research, including FDA and GCP guidelines
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating clinical trial-related agreements
