California Licensed Controller

Job Summary

Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, the fully remote Controller will manage invoicing, accounts receivable/payable cycles, and payroll while collaborating with attorneys and operations leadership at a boutique law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee invoicing, retainers, and accrual estimates
• Manage AR/AP cycles, collections, and reconciliations
• Prepare financial reporting and manage IOLTA accounts and cash flow

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of law firm accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of legal billing and IOLTA
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Clio
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
