California Licensed Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Controller, the full-time position will manage finance operations including revenue recognition, internal controls, and audit processes, while working in a hybrid or fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and managing monthly revenue close
• Lead the accounting function, overseeing general ledger, financial reporting, and audit readiness
• Design and maintain a strong internal control environment, serving as the primary owner of SOX compliance

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or International Management (CPA or CA preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in a multinational company in controlling, cost accounting, or as a business analyst
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with Xero, SAP, Stripe, and Ramp is a plus
• Proactive approach with a strong desire to learn and succeed
