Job Summary

Providing business-minded legal guidance, the full-time California Licensed Corporate Counsel will manage legal, compliance, and risk management needs in a remote healthcare technology environment, focusing on HIPAA, privacy, and contract review.

Key responsibilities

• Offer legal guidance on privacy, security, and procurement matters while managing cross-functional projects
• Draft and review contracts to support business development and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks, partnering with Product and Engineering teams for legal reviews of new software features

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as in-house counsel for a software or technology company or national law firm
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in California or eligibility for Registered In-House Counsel status
• Experience with legal matters in the healthcare industry or SaaS sector is preferred
• Strong ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience with AI-driven legal tools for contract review and productivity improvement
