Job Summary

Serving as a trusted legal advisor, the full-time California Licensed Corporate Counsel will provide practical legal counsel on mortgage origination, lending operations, and regulatory compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal counsel for various business functions including Retail Sales and Compliance
• Advise on legal, regulatory, and operational risks affecting mortgage lending activities
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements supporting mortgage lending operations

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent required
• J.D. and Bachelor's Degree or relevant technical training related to Business, Finance, or Legal fields
• Minimum five years of experience in mortgage banking
• Admission to the California state bar and in good standing
• Knowledge of the overall mortgage lending process
