Job Summary
Providing legal support for the Company's global contracts and commercial affairs, the full-time California Licensed Corporate Counsel will draft, negotiate, and interpret a variety of agreements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate commercial and operational agreements, providing legal and business advice to key decision-makers
- Identify and mitigate legal and business risks related to the Company's expanding international operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance contract administration procedures and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Required qualifications
- Law degree (JD or equivalent) and a license to practice in California or registered as In-House Counsel in California
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including at least 2 years in-house at a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
- Significant knowledge of contract law and experience with complex commercial transactions
- Familiarity with federal regulations such as the False Claims Act and privacy laws
- Understanding of international, federal, and state regulations applicable to medical device companies
