Job Summary
Serving as a trusted legal partner to Product and Engineering teams, the full-time remote California Licensed Corporate Counsel will provide risk-calibrated guidance on product development, AI governance, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of software products.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams during development to identify legal and regulatory considerations
- Create and manage legal and compliance review processes for software products and AI features
- Advise stakeholders on global trade, export control compliance, and intellectual property strategy
Required qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership with 8+ years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in-house
- Deep experience in software licensing, security, or privacy/data protection
- Familiarity with export control and trade compliance relevant to software products
- Experience advising on intellectual property strategy and technology commercialization
- Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical guidance
