California Licensed Cost Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Cost Manager, the full-time Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor will provide leadership in cost management for healthcare construction projects, ensuring client objectives are met while working remotely and managing client relationships effectively.

Key responsibilities:

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
• Preparing and presenting detailed cost plans and managing cost checks and valuations on larger projects
• Leading negotiations on contractor pricing and managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry
• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is preferred
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of medium to high complexity
• Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value engineering
