California Licensed Costume Designer

Job Summary

Creative and detail-oriented, the full-time California Licensed Costume Designer will demonstrate strong conceptual ideas and visual creativity to develop original costume designs for animated characters while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Generate diverse costume ideas through research, sketches, and shape exploration
• Develop detailed character pages, including call-out sheets and poses that reflect character traits
• Collaborate with the Production Designer, Art Director, and Character Designer to ensure design alignment and communicate progress effectively

Required qualifications

• Ability to independently think and design from concept to finish
• Strong understanding of design principles and a broad range of styles
• Solid grasp of 3D form and time management skills
• Proficiency in Photoshop; knowledge of Maya and/or ZBrush is a plus
• Experience in the science fiction genre is a plus
