Job Summary

Providing crisis intervention and emotional support, the part-time California Licensed Crisis Counselor will offer services via chat and text from a remote setting, working Monday to Friday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM PST, while maintaining high-quality standards in interactions with help-seekers.

Key responsibilities

• Offers crisis-counseling services via chat and text, completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of interactions in real time
• Participates in community outreach events and assists in training new counselors

Required qualifications

• Minimum of six months of relevant behavioral health experience, with one year preferred in crisis intervention or suicide prevention
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to engage empathetically with individuals
• Ability to effectively use web-based platforms and document interactions accurately in real time
• Open availability and flexibility to work within program operating hours, including weekends and holidays
