Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Cybersecurity Counsel, the full-time remote attorney will provide expert legal advice on cybersecurity risks and compliance, support incident response processes, and enhance data governance practices within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on managing cybersecurity risks and compliance with global laws and regulations
• Collaborate with teams to conduct security audits and enhance data governance operations
• Support incident detection and response processes, including breach notification and mitigation strategies

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate Degree or equivalent international degree
• Active membership in at least one state bar
• 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on cybersecurity and incident response
• Experience with global privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations
• Strong ability to communicate complex legal issues to various stakeholders
