Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Cybersecurity Counsel, the full-time remote attorney will provide expert legal advice on cybersecurity risks and compliance, support incident response processes, and enhance data governance practices within the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on managing cybersecurity risks and compliance with global laws and regulations
- Collaborate with teams to conduct security audits and enhance data governance operations
- Support incident detection and response processes, including breach notification and mitigation strategies
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree or equivalent international degree
- Active membership in at least one state bar
- 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on cybersecurity and incident response
- Experience with global privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations
- Strong ability to communicate complex legal issues to various stakeholders
