Job Summary
To support a best-in-class cybersecurity legal function, the full-time California Licensed Cybersecurity Counsel will provide expert legal advice on managing cybersecurity risks, compliance with global laws, and enhance data governance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on cybersecurity risks and compliance with global laws and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct security audits and enhance data governance practices
- Support incident response processes and provide counsel during cybersecurity-related investigations
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree or equivalent international degree
- Active membership in at least one state bar
- 12+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on cybersecurity and incident response
- Experience advising on global privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations
- Strong ability to communicate complex legal issues to diverse stakeholders
