Job Summary

Serving as a senior leader in the data privacy function, the full-time California Licensed Data Privacy Director will manage and mature the US-based data privacy program, ensuring compliance with state and global regulations while leading a distributed team remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance the data privacy program, aligning with CCPA/CPRA and global regulations
• Directly manage and develop a distributed team, focusing on performance management and career growth
• Lead privacy impact assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed privacy requirements into operations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of experience in data privacy program management, preferably in financial services or a regulated industry
• 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring and developing technical/privacy professionals
• Demonstrated knowledge of US privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) and familiarity with global frameworks (e.g., GDPR)
• Active privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT) or equivalent expertise
