Job Summary
To support a banking-focused initiative, the remote California Licensed Databricks Architect will deliver end-to-end Databricks implementations, leveraging extensive data engineering expertise and cloud-native platform design over an 8-12 month contract.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 6-8+ end-to-end Databricks implementations as a hands-on developer or solution architect
- Design and implement scalable cloud-native data platforms across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Troubleshoot complex data platform challenges and recommend architecture patterns aligned with business requirements
Required qualifications
- 12-15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, and Data Analytics
- Databricks Data Engineering Professional certification or equivalent advanced certification
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark, including performance optimization and memory management
- Extensive hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Delta Lake
- Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices for data solutions
