California Licensed Dental Consultant

Job Summary

To support the California Medi-Cal Dental Program, the full-time salaried California Licensed Dental Consultant will review and adjudicate dental treatment authorization requests and claims, ensuring compliance with Medi-Cal policies while collaborating with a team and mentoring new consultants in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review claims and Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs) for compliance with Medi-Cal Dental policies
• Collaborate with dental consultants to manage claims and provide mentorship to new team members
• Support fellow consultants by reviewing complex cases and assisting with various departmental needs

Required qualifications

• Active California dental license in good standing with no restrictions
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in general dentistry or a recognized specialty
• At least 2 years of experience in organizations providing Medi-Cal Dental services
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medi-Cal Dental criteria and program requirements
• California residency is required
