California Licensed Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel, Research.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and analysis on regulatory, contracting, and strategic matters related to research
• Draft, review, and negotiate various research-related contracts and agreements
• Advise on compliance with laws and policies, and support investigations concerning research misconduct

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a State Bar
• 7-10 years of relevant experience advising on research matters, including academic medical centers
• Experience managing outside counsel and handling internal investigations
• Knowledge of health law and non-profit organizations is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
