California Licensed Detection Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance cybersecurity measures, the full-time salaried California Licensed Detection Engineer will actively identify, investigate, and respond to security threats in a remote environment, focusing on real-world attacker behavior and incident lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents across cloud and corporate environments
• Monitor and analyze security telemetry to identify anomalous activities and emerging threats
• Develop and refine threat detections within the SIEM based on investigation findings

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of progressively accountable security experience with expertise in incident response
• Hands-on experience in threat detection and security operations across the full incident lifecycle
• Strong understanding of modern threat landscapes and attacker tactics
• Experience with security monitoring platforms such as SIEM and EDR, including detection content creation
