Job Summary
A company is looking for a Disability Benefit Specialist to evaluate eligibility for benefits and manage disability claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information and manage benefits
- Ensure accurate eligibility requirements and liability decisions by applying contractual provisions and claim processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
- Experience in TPA or self-administration services is preferred
- Aptitude for learning medical terminology and interpreting procedures
- Knowledge of ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
