Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time California Licensed Disability Specialist will manage a caseload of disability claims, evaluate benefit eligibility, and provide guidance on return-to-work strategies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Manages assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims
  • Communicates with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to assess eligibility and authorize benefits
  • Analyzes claims activity and prepares reports for clients and management
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
  • Familiarity with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus
  • Knowledge of ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel and web-based systems
