Job Summary
To support a remote team, the full-time California Licensed Disability Specialist will manage a caseload of disability claims, evaluate eligibility, and provide guidance on return-to-work strategies while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Manages assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims
- Communicates with claimants and medical professionals to gather information for benefit determinations
- Analyzes claims activity and prepares reports for clients and management
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
- Familiarity with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus
- Knowledge of ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and web-based systems
